Above the Mealy-Mouthed Sea, supported by Arts Council England and was an Unholy Mess Production in association with Clapham Omnibus. Above the Mealy-mouthed Sea is an autobiographical show about the memory, performance and the reverberations of childhood trauma.
Above the Mealy-Mouthed Sea was co-written and directed by Lucy Allan, with movement direction by Tara D’Arquian, set and costume design by Mayou Trikerioti, and lighting design by Barnaby Booth.
Above the Mealy-mouthed Sea premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2017 and went on to the Perth Fringe Festival in 2018 where it was Shortlisted for the Fringe World Best Theatre Award and received excellent reviews. Above the Mealy-Mouthed Sea also had a successful run at the M1 Singapore Fringe Festival in the Esplanade theatre
